Homemade Carp Bait Recipes

This is a very inexpensive bate to make and the ingredients can be found in the jelly section of any supermarket for under £1 and it comes in four delicious flavours.

Starting out, we need to pour ¾ cup Soya flour into a mixing bowl.

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the box of ingredients, there are 4 different flavours. To make 1 pint of bait batches, we only need to use two flavours, and this recipe calls for strawberry and vanilla. Mix the two together and you will have a fantastic carp bait that not only looks good, but also smells sweet enough to attract the attention of any carp.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Empty both flavour packets and pour into the mixing bowl with the Soya flour. In a separate bowl, beat two eggs with a fork and then pour ½ the beaten egg mixture into the mixing bowl containing the two flavours. It’s not good if the mixture starts out being too wet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Keep adding the egg mixture until you see it clumping together.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next, add 1 teaspoon of cod or olive oil, then add ½ teaspoon of red food colouring.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It’s also important to add seeds to the mixture. I recommend Sesame seeds, but you might want to experiment with others. Some people actually add crushed up eggshells.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now it’s time to start mixing with our hands. If it feels too wet, you can add more Soya flour.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When it’s thoroughly mixed, place the dough on grease proof paper and roll out until it is just ½ to 1 cm thick.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To cook the dough, place it in the microwave at 600 watts for approximately 3 minutes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When it’s done cooking, take the dough out and cut it into 3 cm stripes whilst still warm.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This will look just like ham since you can see the stripes that formed when it was cooking.

Cut the stripes into cubes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You now have sweet tasting carp bait that looks just like ham.
